Reporting directly to the CEO, accountable for the entire FiftyOne product. Responsible for creation and execution of the product roadmap at both a tactical and strategic level. Managed the following departments: project management, product management and technical communication.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Designed and launched the international hub processing application that is operated in DHL Exel facilities. The Hub App was launched on time and processed 80% of the FiftyOne package volume in the first 45 days without any operational challenges.
  • Envisioned a plan to widened the conversion funnel by driving international consumers to merchant websites via Port51. Designed, built, and launched an international shopping portal test website in 12 weeks in order to capture holiday 2011 learnings.
  • Created the international marketing toolkit, which enabled merchants to offer country specific marketing to their international customers and allow their non-domestic consumers to "shop like a local". The features resulted in a 10% increase in carts started
  • Decreased order abandon rate by 5% via on-going improvements to the Landed Cost Calculator ensuring the most viable and attractive quote is offered to the international consumer.
  • The only member of the management team to win the quarterly CEO excellence award for living the company values (Customer Focused, Innovation, Ownership, Teamwork and Fun)
  • Created an ambitious and innovative 12-month rolling roadmap, a goal that was previously considered impossible in an agile development environment.
  • Revolutionized the FiftyOne product by building FiftyOne Services that exposed all features as public facing APIs.
  • Establish a process to identify risks, mitigate identified risks and determine metrics of success for each new product feature, allowing us to prioritize based upon ROI and risk appetite.
  • Identified that the 2012 roadmap contained more than five times the effort than our existing engineering capacity. As a result FiftyOne executed "the surge", a plan to triple the engineering resources and supporting departments to achieve our strategic goals.
  • Recruited, hired and managed a top notch team of product managers, project managers and technical communicators.
